Industrial Visit to Mumbai Local Train Management System, Western Railway, Mumbai Central" CSI-VIVA TECH organized an industrial visit for S.E, T.E, and B.E Computer Engineering students to the Mumbai Local Train Management System, Western Railway, Divisional Office, Mumbai Central**. The visit provided students with valuable insights into railway management, real-time train monitoring, and technological advancements in railway operations. This experience enhanced their understanding of large-scale transport systems and their role in urban mobility

"Industrial Visit to RAW Engineering Pvt Ltd for Computer Engineering Students" CSI-VIVA TECH organized an industrial visit to RAW Engineering Pvt Ltd for second-year Computer Engineering students. The visit provided students with firsthand exposure to the software industry, offering insights into software development, project management, and innovation**. CSI-VIVA successfully organized Monthly Event 3 in celebration of Republic Day at the Department of Computer Engineering, VIVA Institute of Technology. The event featured engaging Republic Day-themed and fun games, where participants completed tasks to qualify for the next levels. With enthusiastic participation from S.E and T.E Computer Engineering students and department staff, the event provided a refreshing break from their hectic schedules, fostering enjoyment and teamwork.

The CSI-VIVA successfully organized the seminar on “Green Computing: A step towards eco-friendly computing'' at the Department of Computer Engineering, VIVA Institute of Technology. The lecture was conducted by “Mrs. Anuja Borkar”. She holds a Master's degree in Electronics Engineering and has made significant contributions in the field of sustainable technology. She has been actively involved in creating awareness about green energy and its applications in the tech industry. She covered all the points from the very basics, starting by explaining to the students about green computing and its importance. There was a large participation from students of T.E, B.E of Computer Engineering.

The CSI-VIVA successfully organized the seminar on “Exploring Blockchain Dynamics: Foundation of Distributed Ledger System'' at the Department of Computer Engineering, VIVA Institute of Technology. The lecture was conducted by “Prof. Shweta Taral”. She is a lecturer at Viva College of Diploma Engineering and Technology and brings a wealth of knowledge in the field of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies. She covered all the points from the very basics, starting by explaining to the students about the blockchain and how it works. There was a large participation from students of T.E of Computer Engineering. Overall it was an Informative Event.

"CSI-VIVA successfully organized a webinar on 'Introduction to Web 3 & Blockchain' at the Department of Computer Engineering, VIVA Institute of Technology. "Workshop on Group Discussion Techniques" The Department of Computer Engineering at VIVA Institute of Technology successfully hosted a workshop titled “Techniques for Leading Group Discussions”, conducted by Dr. Trupti Patil. With over 15 years of experience in higher education and soft skills, Dr. Patil enthusiastically shared her deep expertise with T.E. and B.E. Computer Engineering students. The workshop began with the basics, emphasizing the importance of effective communication and group dynamics. "The CSI-VIVA recently hosted a seminar titled “Startup Playbook-Essentials for Tech Business” at the Department of Computer Engineering, VIVA Institute of Technology. The session, led by Mr. Amey Raut, provided invaluable insights into the world of tech entrepreneurship. Mr. Raut began by discussing the fundamental importance of tech businesses in today’s economy, emphasizing the potential benefits for aspiring entrepreneurs. He guided the students through essential concepts and strategies needed to launch and sustain a tech startup. The seminar saw enthusiastic participation, particularly from the S.E. "CSI-VIVA successfully organized the second Monthly Event of the academic year in celebration of World Wide Web Day at the Department of Computer Engineering, VIVA Institute of Technology. The event featured two competitions: Digital Poster Making and Search Engine Redesigning, aimed at testing both the creative and technical skills of the students. Computer Engineering students from S.E, T.E, and B.E actively participated, showcasing their creativity through innovative posters and redesign concepts. The event provided a platform for students to express their ideas while enhancing their technical knowledge. Overall, it was a well-received event with strong participation and a focus on creativity and innovation."

"CSI-VIVA successfully hosted a two-day workshop on 'AI for Students: Build Your Own Generative AI Model,' organized by NxtWave at the Department of Computer Engineering, VIVA Institute of Technology. The workshop was led by Mr. Trivikrama Kothinti, an AI expert and IIT Delhi alumnus who secured AIR 93 in IIT JEE 2012. Conducted online, the workshop introduced students to generative AI, starting from the basics and including a hands-on practical session. Mr. Kothinti also assigned a task for students to reinforce their learning. The event saw enthusiastic participation from Computer Engineering students. Overall, it was an informative and engaging workshop that provided valuable insights into AI."

"CSI-VIVA successfully organized a seminar on 'From Concept to Code: Effective Hackathon Strategies' at the Department of Computer Engineering, VIVA Institute of Technology. The session was led by Mr. Harsh Mali, a TE Computer Engineering student who has excelled in various hackathons, ranking among the top-30 nationally. He enthusiastically shared his insights and experiences with his juniors, covering the fundamentals of hackathons and their benefits. The seminar saw active participation from S.E. The CSI-VIVA successfully organized "Imperia 2024" at the Computer Engineering Department, where students presented their major and mini projects. The event, held for the fourth consecutive year, provided an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their skills and boost their confidence. Participants submitted abstracts, and selected projects were presented and evaluated by judges who praised the innovative work and offered constructive feedback. CSI-VIVA successfully organized "TECHSPARK 5.0" at the Computer Engineering Department, VIVA Institute of Technology. This event allowed students to present their technical papers, enhancing their skills and confidence. Participants submitted abstracts, and selected papers were presented and evaluated by a panel of professors. Judges praised the quality of presentations and provided constructive feedback. CSI-VIVA organized an Industrial Visit for B.E Computer Engineering students to Testriq QA Lab, LLP. Students gained insights into the company's history, operations, and quality assurance processes. The visit provided a unique learning opportunity, exposing them to industry practices and methodologies. Interactions with professionals enhanced their practical knowledge and skills. The CSI-VIVA successfully organized the seminar on “Advanced Microprocessors'' at the Computer Engineering Department, VIVA Institute of Technology. The lecture was conducted by “Dr. Sunny Sall”. He is an Assistant Professor at St. John College of Engineering and Management, the individual likely holds an academic position focused on teaching, research, and potentially serving within the institution. He has conducted several research papers to discover new things in their field and share their findings with others. He will share his expertise in the field of microprocessors.


12th March 2024

he CSI-VIVA organized an Industrial Visit for S.E Computer Engineering students to Amul India Pvt. Ltd. Students eagerly anticipated the visit, which offered insights into Amul's history, operations, and production processes. They toured the factory, observing the automated production of dairy products from milk collection to packaging. Students interacted with employees, learning about Amul's cooperative business model and marketing strategies.The visit was an enriching, informative event, expanding students' perspectives and providing unique learning opportunities..

13th February 2024

The seminar on “Data Science and Generative AI” organized by the CSI-VIVA at the Computer Engineering Department, VIVA Institute of Technology was a resounding success. The lecture, conducted by Mr. Shoeb Shaikh and Miss Esha Prakash, provided valuable insights into various domains, including Prompt Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning and various AI tools were introduced to the students. SDAC (Sanjeev Gupta) organized an enlightening workshop on the topic of "Language Independence." This workshop spanned multiple sessions and aimed to provide participants with a profound understanding of the significance of language independence. Participants gained valuable insights into the practical applications of language-independent approaches and their potential to drive innovation and efficiency.

CSI Member Saksha Gotad conducted a highly informative seminar on the importance of technical communication. Over the course of the event, participants gained valuable insights into the significance of effective communication in the tech world. Saksha's engaging sessions highlighted how clear and concise communication can facilitate better collaboration, streamline processes, and enhance overall productivity in the technology sector.

CSI organized a two-day Blockchain workshop for final-year students, led by Mr. Vivian Lobo. Students delved into the decentralized nature of Blockchain, understanding its transformative impact on data storage, authentication, and transactions. The sessions emphasized trust, transparency, and security in a digitized world, showcasing Blockchain's potential to reshape industries. Mr. Vivian Lobo's engaging sessions left students with a profound understanding of Blockchain technology, contributing to their knowledge enhancement.


26th and 27th September 2023

The CSI committee hosted a two-day "Python for Data Science" workshop for third-year students. Led by expert Mrs. Shraddha More, the event aimed to equip students with essential Python skills for data science applications. The successful workshop highlighted the committee's dedication to enhancing students' technical expertise for the dynamic world of data science and technology.


14th and 15th September 2023

Techchase 2023 transcended its hosting college, welcoming students from neighboring institutions. This inter-collegiate event featured engaging technical games like Space Fusion, Flip-Tac-Toe, Gamstersbay, BGMI, and Galactic Escape. The Computer Department's 'Galactic Escape' won the Best Event Award, showcasing exceptional creativity. The event pulsated with energy, capturing the active involvement of students from diverse academic backgrounds.


5th September 2023

The Engineers' and Teachers' Day celebration showcased diverse talents, including magic tricks, photography, artworks, and mathematical skills. Top package achievers from the 2023 batch inspired juniors, while games like Balloon & Cup, Guess the Teacher, and Guess the Song added excitement. The event was a resounding success with high student participation across all activities.


17th and 18th August 2023

The CSI committee organized a two-day workshop on Plagiarism and Reference Management, facilitated by Mrs. Priya Surve, specifically tailored for final year students. The workshop aimed to educate students on the importance of avoiding plagiarism and effectively managing references in academic work. The successful execution of this workshop by the CSI committee catered to the educational needs of the final year students.


9th August 2023

The workshop's objective was to underscore the significance of Algorithmic Foundations among students. It spanned two days 9th and 10th August, offering live hands-on experience to SE department of computer engineering students. The workshop delved into the significance of OOPs and algorithms for technical interviews and company insights. In summation, the workshop achieved its goals successfully.


7th August 2023

The seminar's purpose was to highlight the significance of bridging the gap between Industry and Academia, essential domains in their own right. SE and TE students enthusiastically engaged in discussions and interactive sessions. The event underscored practical skills, real-world applications, and industry trends. Overall, the seminar enriched students' comprehension of how academic knowledge harmonizes with industry requirements, better equipping them for prosperous careers.


3rd August 2023

The event was arranged to provide students with the opportunity to relax and engage in various activities. Students from the computer department actively participated in games such as Pictionary Relay, Code Hunt, TechChain TechJumble. Participants enthusiastically competed and successfully completed all tasks to qualify for the finals. Ultimately, the event was a source of enjoyment for everyone in the department, with a significant turnout from SE, TE, and BE.

Events 2022-23


6th April 2023

Imperia 2023 was an intercollegiate project competition successfully conducted on 6 th of April 2023 by CSI VIVA-TECH. The competition was arranged in two parts comprising of a block of Second year and Third year projects and a second block consisting of Fourth year projects. The projects were worked on by the students for the duration of an entire year and comprised of various computer related domains such as Cybersecurity, Web Development, Android Applications, etc. and they provided innovative solutions to several real world problems as noted by the respected judges.


31st March 2023

Techspark 4.0 was a technical paper presentation event conducted on 31 st March 2023 and comprised of groups that surveyed several research papers and developed a literature survey on the same. The event required the participants of the event to develop the literature survey by the IEEE global format and present the same in front of a panel of judges with the help of a Powerpoint Presentation. The event provided the participants as well as the audience with awareness regarding cutting-edge research and technology which was also simplified by the participants so as to make it easier for the audience to understand the topic of their research.


20th March 2023

The Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for Students was a dynamic and enlightening event designed to empower young minds with the knowledge and significance of intellectual property in today's creative and innovative world.Participants were introduced to the process of obtaining and safeguarding intellectual property rights, demystifying the complexities surrounding the registration, enforcement, and licensing of these rights.Students were encouraged to be responsible digital citizens and to be aware of the ethical implications of their actions in the digital age and this Interactive sessions and case studies allowed students to engage actively in discussions.

Alumni lecture was organized to get students to focus on the importance of cybersecurity. The Alumina Lecture was an insightful and thought-provoking event that delved into the critical world of digital security and its vital role in protecting our interconnected society. Attendees were urged to adopt best practices in safeguarding their online presence, emphasizing the role everyone plays in creating a more secure digital environment.As technology continues to advance, events like this are instrumental in fostering awareness, knowledge-sharing, and collective efforts to fortify the digital frontier against cyber threats.One of the lecturer's focal points was the importance of promoting a cybersecurity culture, not just within organizations but also among students.

17th February 2023

Industrial visit for the students of second year computer engineering department, was arranged at AMUL India Ltd. Mr. Dhiraj Chauhan the co-ordinator who gave an overall visit of the plant there. Ice-creams and other products of AMUL where offered to students. It was a new experience for students, they got to know how the products are actually made on amul and got an overview of all the new machinary there. It was an overall sucessfull Industrial Visit heldby CSI.


10th February 2023

Poster making competition was held for all computer department students. Topics were allocated to SE, TE and final year students, participants participated with enthusiasm. Posters were displayed on the primises and according to the vote by students as well as faculty members winners for the competition were selected. Artistic skills of students were recognized. Overall the event held by CSI comittee was a sucess.


4th February 2023

Industrial visit for the students of third year computer engineering department, was arranged at ASCENTech comapany, students gained knowledge about how the technical field works as well as the guidance given by the mentor over ASCENTech which shared a word of advice over development of a project.

A webinar on the idea of Soft Skills was arranged for computer department and MCA students. Ms. Swati Ranjith, the session's speaker, shared her expertise of soft skills and its impact in everyone's regular lifestyle. The environment was intriguing. Students engaged by interacting and questioning. Overall, the webinar was a success.


27th January 2023

The Webinar was organized to bring in the importance of Security within students. The Webinar was conducted for Computer and MCA department students. Importance of cybersecurity and the necessity of undertsanding it for industry use were fully disscussed. Cybersecurity being a vast field as well important for all application it was very helpful for everyone. Students interacted with the guest by questioning. Overall the seminar was a sucess.

The Seminar was organized to bring in the importance of Flutter within students. This seminar was 2 days live hands-on seminar conducted for Computer and MCA department students. Importance of flutter in Android application and the necessity of undertsanding flutter for industry use were disscussed. Students interacted with the guest by questioning. Overall the seminar was a sucess.

The Seminar was organized to bring in the importance of blockchain within students. 2 days live hands-on seminar was conducted for Computer and MCA department students. Cryptocurrency, Security and also the importance of Web3 in the industrial were disscussed. Students interacted with the guest by questioning. It was a sucessful live seminar.

The event was organized for students of every department. It was a zestful event, many technical games were organised by CSI committee as Bit and build, tangled and LAN games. Students from all department participated with full enthusiasm. Tangled organized by the students of computer department won the best event award.


23rd September 2022

The event was organized to celebrate Engineers day. Students from department shared their talented skills like, magic tricks, photography, artworks mathematical skills and also with internship experience. Student placed with top packages from batch 2022 where also introduced to encourage the juniors. Teachers and students showed immense participation in games like Tic-Tac-Toe, Rubik's cube and logo-gusser(Pehchan kaun).


14th September 2022

The Guest lecture was organized to introduce significance of software testing in IT world. Students got the understanding of various elements needed to become a software tester, and showed how they test on software live. Career guidance was given to students for setting up their realistic goals. Direct communication was done with the lecturer to resolve certain queries.


18th August 2022

The event was organized for students to sit back and participate in different activities. Students from department took part in debate, quiz and memeoy game. Quiz was based on technical questions, memory game was enjoyable for all and debate showcased their communication and confidence. Overall the event was a sucess.


8th August 2022

The Seminar was organized to bring in the importance of IOT within students. cloud-computing, machine learning and the industrial need IOT such elements were disscussed. Students interacted with the guest by questioning. The speaker showed some live IOT product that cleared the idea of students.


13th July 2022

On the occasion of Guru Purnima, an event was conducted by CSI-VIVA Tch. Students from the department shared their participation and gave a performance, students shared their respect through speech and songs.

06th April 2022

The event "TechSpark 3.0" was conducted for the students to share their technical papers in front of the panel. All papers are published into the VIVA-Tech's international journal.


10th February 2022

Students from the department shared their posters which were handmade and digital on the topic of “Integrated approach in science and technology for a sustainable future”. There was a large participation from department students of S.E, T.E and B.E Computer Engineering.


5th October 2021

The workshop started with the complete need for Cyber Security, covering various other elements such as stages of hacking, and a complete overview of attack vectors, penetration testing, along with the implementation. Finally, discussions on Prevention from Cyber Attacks were done.


22nd September 2021

The event was organized to celebrate Teachers Day and Engineers Day. Students from the department shared their poetry, performances, achievements, photography, artworks, and also experience of Internships. Students placed with top packages from batch 2021 where also introduced to encourage the juniors. Teachers and students participated in games like 'Let me Guess it' as well as 'Jumbled Words'.


26th August 2021

The workshop covered Microsoft Azure and Cloud Computing, starting from the very basics, then a hands-on session on Azure, also covering various other elements such as Compute Models and Deployment Models.



Events 2020-21


19th and 20th April 2021

The event covered the an important prerequisite i.e. presentation skills and research skill as well as proper methodology and also the help the students learn how to write a technical paper. Students were required to write a technical paper about current engineering trends and innovations and presented it in front of other students as well as a panel of judges through a powerpoint presentation.


27th February and 5th March 2021

The Event was conducted in a Single round format where all participants were given a span of 7 days in order to choose from either making a Health App or an E-commerce App and Design an UI on a Figma Board. The entries were Judged on the basis of creativity, neatness of design and overall colour Aesthetic.
